Honoring Fallen Police & Firefighters
Hearts 4 Heroes USA believes that honoring those who gave everything is part of what it means to truly support the first responder community. H4H has participated in memorial ceremonies recognizing fallen police officers and firefighters — standing alongside departments, families, and fellow first responders to pay tribute and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
9/11 Memorial
Hearts 4 Heroes USA has attended and participated in 9/11 memorial ceremonies honoring the firefighters, police officers, and first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. These ceremonies are a reminder of why the work of supporting first responder mental health matters — and why H4H exists.
California Firefighters Memorial — Sacramento
Hearts 4 Heroes USA has attended and participated in the California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento, joining firefighters, families, departments, and supporters from across the state in honoring California firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The annual memorial ceremony provides a meaningful opportunity to remember their service, sacrifice, and lasting impact on the communities they protected.

Firefighters Burn Institute & Fill the Boot for Burns
Firefighters Burn Institute
The Firefighters Burn Institute (FBI) is a Sacramento-based nonprofit dedicated to burn prevention, treatment, and survivor support. The Institute operates programs including Shriners Hospitals for Children outreach, burn survivor camps, and peer support for firefighters and burn care workers.
Hearts 4 Heroes USA has worked alongside the Firefighters Burn Institute through the Paw Platoon Placement program. Boots — a Paw Platoon dog placed with the Institute — has served as a comfort and therapy presence for burn survivors, healthcare workers, and first responders across burn care settings and community outreach events.
Firefighters Burn InstituteFill the Boot for Burns
Fill the Boot for Burns is a fundraising effort that supports burn survivors and the Firefighters Burn Institute's programs. Firefighters and community supporters collect donations to fund burn care, survivor support, and prevention education.
Hearts 4 Heroes USA has participated in Fill the Boot for Burns events, joining firefighters and community members in supporting this important cause. H4H's involvement reflects our commitment to standing alongside the organizations that care for first responders and the communities they protect.
